Tetbury Film Society

Welcome

Thanks to grants from Awards for All and the Gloucestershire Community Fundation, plus excellent financial support from the Tetbury Lions Club, The Jack Lane Charitable Trust and Tetbury Town Council, we have now updated all of our film equipment. With the backing of the Dolphins Hall Trustees and the help of the great team at Television & HiFi in Cirencester, the new projector, screen and sound system (including an induction loop system for the hard of hearing) was installed and working in time for the first film of the current season.

Screenings

The film screenings are held once a month from September to April (2 films in February) each year in the Dolphins Hall, New Church Street, Tetbury on Wednesday evenings. Doors open at 7.00 p.m. with the show starting promptly at 7.30 p.m.

Films

The society has been a member of the British Film Federation since opening in 1999. Films in 2010/2011 season included “An Education”, “Julie & Julia”, “Looking for Eric” and “Micmacs”. Click here to view the list of titles booked for 2011/2012 season.

Patron

HRH Duchess of Cornwall has agreed to be the Tetbury Film Society’s patron and we keep her in touch with events.

Community

Part of the remit for Tetbury Film is to co-operate with and assist local organisations and institutions. To this end we provide an annual charity screening for Cotswold Care hospice. In the past we have also shown films on behalf of the Feoffees (Tetbury’s governing body).
